IF YOU GO TO LECCO YOU CAN FOLLOW MANZONI'S PLACES

Alessandro Manzoni, one of the main writers of Italian literature, will always be remembred as the author of the Promessi Sposi,  set exactly in Lecco area.

Once you reach Lecco, ask a guide to show you the places where the author has been inspired and where he spent his days. An itinery suitable to all ages, as his books, the best way to know Manzoni’s world is by walking: starting from Pescarenico area where Fra Cristoforo’s cloister was located  and where there the protagonists got married.

Then, continue to the Zucco fortress, location of Don Rodrigo’s Palace; in the neighborhood you find other streets and corners where famous scenes and talks between characters took place. A lot of things to discover along the streets. Do not forget to visit Manzoni’s house with relics, first editions, notes, object and manuscripts of once of the main representatives of the Italian literature.
